30A – Final Reflection
(this picture is important for me, take at SMC, where I got my General Science Degree. It represents where I come
from and how far I have gotten. I was just another athlete with an injury that
resulted on my scholarship taken away, I slept two years on the floor during my
high school years in LA because I couldn’t afford rent, I have been homeless
before, dealt with a facial paralysis and struggling to keep up with school
under the strong medication. Now here I am, at my dream university, studying what
I dreamt for years, trying to become someone that can do good for my people and
everybody else, to set up an example on how not everything is lost and to know
how to deal with any kind of adversity. I’ve got a lot to learn and learned a lot from the guys from my group, and I am glad I
can share these moments with you all)
1)
I have loved this class from beginning to end and
it has helped me in various ways, beginning with personal achievements. I was
really nervous when doing the assignment “ 4A – Forming An Opportunity Belief”
because I had to interview people and felt like the interviews didn’t go as
well as I thought, but I was really happy after I read the comments on my post
and checking that around 14 people checked out my post.
2)
The most formative experience was collecting
information from those who are already in the industry and setting up appointments
to talk to them about my company’s idea and model. Also when writing my Venture
concept it helped me to realize that I am capable of achieving the things I wanted
to achieve as just a dream of owning a solar panel company.
3)
I do see myself as an entrepreneur now, I would
like to make this concept something that can actually become real, I want my
solar company to succeed and a bunch of people benefit from the idea, from employees
to customers.
4)
Try having only one business idea that you would
like to work on and develop from the beginning of the class. If you have a
bunch of them, then select your favorite one and the one that you think can
have room for improvement. Try connecting lectures with your blog’s posts and
answers in order to develop a higher self confidence in the area.

Roy,
ReplyDeleteI selected to keep up with your ideas and posts this entire semester due to the passion and integrity you demonstrated throughout this time. Owning a solar panel company could be one of the few ideas that are both extremely profitable, and environmentally sustainable at the same time. I wish you the best of luck from here on out and I hope to one day be a customer of yours!
