18A – Create a Customer Avatar


Morty (here is a picture when Morty and Jessica first fell in love back in high school)



I would describe Morty as the typical father of two and married whose favorite hobby is to walk around the beaches of the city of LA on a beautiful Sunday morning. Him and his family after the beach, they drive back home to Westwood. Their house has the typical common areas: dining room, kitchen, living room and a studio room (where Morty and Jessica tend to do some of their work). On the second floor of the house there are two bedrooms, one for each kid and a bathroom they both share, there is also the master bedroom for Morty and Jessica. Morty is a really well organized person, during the weekdays he leaves to work on his electric car, he designs houses and cares much about small details. Jessica also works and sometimes she stays at home because she sells insurance. Their kids attend high school, his son likes playing video games and his daughter loves watching movies. When Morty comes back from work he likes to join his son playing video games or sometimes go play with both of them at their backyard with a small pool and sauna. On Saturdays they like to get together with their grandparents and eat by their pool. Morty and his family make use of electricity on a daily basis and some of their highest usage are the following:
·      Morty working on his office using his desktop computer to design plans with Autocad
·      Jessica likes to watch tv
·      Daughter loves watching her favorite princess movies during the week
·      Son plays video games daily
·      They charger their electric cars at home
·      Use of light for their pool
·      Pool system
Morty is trying to look for alternatives to reduce their electricity usage or to at least not having to pay so much for their electricity bill since they spend most of their time at home.

What do you have in common with the customer avatar?

I love being at home too, I love playing video games and watching my favorite shows. My electricity bill sometimes is high because of it.

If you have anything in common with the avatar, do you think that is a coincidence? Why?

No, most people like to do things at home instead of being somewhere else. Nowadays we often find ourselves on our phone, laptop or tv for entertainment, there is a number rising of people who like to use electric cars because it saves them money, most people also care about the environment. So Morty is well defined as a the typical 30 something years old, father of family

Yehudy was the only person to leave a comment, he mentioned how he loved my idea and product and he was much interested. He loved how I explained the scientific side of the product. 3)  What did you change, based on the feedback? I tried targeting a different audience, showing anyone can see this as   a good alternative no matter how much electricity they use each month.

For this exercise, I'd like you reflect on the past two months. In your post for this exercise, pretend that you're talking to a student from next semester's course. What would you tell them?
