15A – Figuring Out Buyer Behavior No. 2
Interviewees: Emily
Reyes, Yannick Angouo, Dani Leigh.
Questions:
Does price matter the most? Or quality?
Emily: Prices are
justifiable by the quality of the product
Yannick: Quality
matters the most to me
Dani: Both of them
are important whenever I think of a purchase
style? Is there more than one factor that is important to
your customer segment?
Emily: I don’t really
care how a solar panel looks as long as it is functional and does it job
Yannick: I would
analyze the product, how it works and how it looks is essential for me because
it would become part of my home
Dani: I think
variation of styles would help the business, colors than can match with the
house since most solar panels are placed on roofs
The 3 people I interviewed decided that this product would
make a great hit as an online purchase, usually people don’t walk around
looking for a store that sells solar panels.
Post-purchase
evaluation
What matters to my costumers when they think back on the
rightness of the purchase is the quality of the product, if they spend a large
amount of money trying to save energy usage they expect a fair amount in
savings compared to the purchase price. The style of the product comes at last,
it would just be part of the aesthetic of the property. Some things that make
them think the purchase would be a bad idea would be when electricity prices
are not too high for them, they feel like this product wouldn’t really fit them
if they don’t spend too much, but truthfully a solar panel is beneficial no
matter how much you are spending on electricity and could also be great for
their businesses. People are not really aware of this alternative, Dani for
example, owns a Tesla and she charges her car at home, I explained to her how
she can make a purchase only for the whole purpose of charging her car and she
loved it. My product is not something that is seem as a need at first but most
people would actually purchase this if it is introduced to them.
