Orlando airport to shutdown ahead of hurricane Dorian
On September 2nd Orlando airport stopped
operating at 2am due to the danger of the arrival of hurricane Dorian to the
Florida coast. The problem in this article is that flights for passenger get cancelled
during that time affecting families traveling within and outside the country
from the Florida Peninsula, the reason why they did this was not really about
the weather but to allow the 25 thousand employees at the airport to go home
and take care of their family during this event. The “who has” of this problem
are the travelers that lost their flights during their original time plans.
County repeals plastic bag and Styrofoam ban
The Alachua County Commission voted 4-0 for repealing
plastic bag and Styrofoam ban. The problem in this article is that the Florida
Retailers Federation threatened to take legal action with legal actions against
the county if the ban became a law. The “who has” of this problem are the
Alachua County commission and the environment.
Hurricane survivors struggle to start new life in Bahamas
After Hurricane Dorian hit the Bahamas it caused chaos since
people lost their houses and didn’t have personal belongings such as food and
clothes to put up with this situation. Shelters were jammed to capacity and not
enough aid has been received for the survivors, which are calculated to be
around 10,000, which include water, food and a place to stay. The “ who has” of
this problem is Bahamas as hole, the survivors, teams such as firefighters and
donors that are trying to help people with aids.
El Paso family sues Walmart for lack of security after mass
shooting
Company plans to reopen the store in 3 to 4 months to
preserve the scene and evidence since the attack, families sue the company because
they claim that they should have protected its customers and they had no security
guards patrolling the store. The “who has” of this problem are the families
affected by this tragic event due to lack of security by the company on one of their
establishments.
Residents still dealing with flooding, now prepping for
Dorian
Levy County Emergency Management officials are concerned
because locals were dealing with flooding before Hurricane Dorian tropical
storm could affect them and are taking the necessary measurements to avoid
residents to have to go through this problem. The “who has” of this problem are
the people that are affected by this natural disasters and that there are no
organizations that can help them by providing food services, water or any help
from the County.
