8A – Solving The Problem



My opportunity has been an idea of mine since I was in high school living in Los Angeles California. On my senior year I had a project about creating a successful business that could start creating revenue within the first five years, and I created it about solar panels in California. I decided to take this into a bigger scale to hopefully one day creating a business dedicated to solar panels. Covering from the creation of the product to selling it and receiving assistance as a service of the purchase of this product. I have completed a degree in science and now I want to get my BSBA. I believe that this project will be successful and the wait wouldn’t be long. Creating the company also a monthly service if needed of repairs and maintenance would keep on bringing revenue constantly.

    Hi there Roy, great post! I am so glad to see that this is something you have been passionate about since you were in high school. Green energy is the way of the future and I love that you included the monthly service and repairs section. From what I know about solar energy the upkeep is what seems to deter some people from making the switch. This "all inclusive" business structure seems like a great way to keep customers loyal and hopefully spreading your company to others. I am a sustainability minor and love reading all the green movements in this class.

    Roy, this is fantastic! I too am working on an eco-friendly business. We make clothing out of sustainable products such as recycled plastics. Implementing solar panels would be a huge step in this green movement! Like I stated in your last post, I hope this succeeds and eventually finds its way to the state of Florida! Keep it up, great post!

Yehudy was the only person to leave a comment, he mentioned how he loved my idea and product and he was much interested. Morty (here is a picture when Morty and Jessica first fell in love back in high school) I would describe Morty as the typical father of two and married whose favorite hobby is to walk around the beaches of the city of LA on a beautiful Sunday morning. Him and his family after the beach, they drive back home to Westwood. Their house has the typical common areas: dining room, kitchen, living room and a studio room (where Morty and Jessica tend to do some of their work). On the second floor of the house there are two bedrooms, one for each kid and a bathroom they both share, there is also the master bedroom for Morty and Jessica. For this exercise, I'd like you reflect on the past two months. In your post for this exercise, pretend that you're talking to a student from next semester's course. What would you tell them?
